A new coffee table book ‘Daydream’ featuring top Japanese model and actress Yasuko Matsuyuki will be published in Japan on 26th January 2012. Bourton House Garden was chosen as a location for many of the photographs in the book, which also features photographs taken in Upper and Lower Slaughter.
Yasuko Matsuyuki arrived with a team of photographers, make up artists and dressers at Bourton House Garden in June 2011 where a series of fantasy shots were taken in various locations around the garden. Visitors were amazed to find a giant bear wandering the grounds as well as coming across Yasuko in beautiful outfits in a series of unlikely situations. Before they left, Yasuko and the Bear joined Roelof Quintus, owner of Bourton House Garden, for a quick photographic memento of the occasion (although Louie the dog was not very happy to meet the Bear and tried to take a bite out of its nose!)
Yasuko Matsuyuki won a fashion magazine contest while she was still in High School and went on to become one of Japan’s top models. She made her TV debut in 1991 and went on to star in many TV dramas, feature films and stage shows. She has a huge following in Japan and Bourton House Garden is delighted to be associated with her latest book.
